What is IT Service Management System according to ISO 20000?

IT service management system focuses on organizations that provide IT services to final users.
Standard ISO/EC 20000:2005 IT Service Management is the first worldwide standard that particularly refers to the IT service management and focuses on quality improvement, increase of efficiency and cost reduction with IT processes. ISO 20000, which is based on standard BS 15000, describes integrated set of management processes for IT provision and its content complies with the provisions of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Standard ISO 20000 exists in two parts. The first on is intended for evaluation and contingent certification of IT service, the second part serves as a guideline for implementation of functional system.
